Excellent staff and doctor. Ive been dealing with debilitating migraines and fought off an infection with my own antibiotics, was told by my referring dentist it was impossible to have had an infection but I know my body and especially head and neck area and it was swollen all during the holiday weekend and got to touch. My regular dentist refused to prescribe antibiotics but luckily my own stash got me through with alot of ibuprofen, the migraines are still there, Trish was awesome. Understood and listened as Ive had major reconstructive jaw surgery from cancer. The doctor and Trish explained the situation clearly and concsicely and let my cousin who drove me in to take notes because I was pretty much out of it with migraine. Will be going in for surgery next week to remove wisdom tooth and molars. Dentists and mouth work always have me uneasy and anxious. Trish and Dr Vella were excellent in listening to understand, and intently review my xrays with me. My referring dentists do this as well to a point but when I stated I had thought I had an infection with a bad taste, swollen mouth the dentist said impossible bc the teeth in question were root canals, and refused to prescribe antibiotics. I've had a lot of work done and know my body. This really irritated me and will be looking elsewhere, as current place is certainly nice but you can tell they're about getting in as many people possible, and sticking to a strict regiment and had me pay a deposit of almost $600 before seeing me and ultimately stating I didn't need the crown and will hold the money or send a refund check once insurance has been approved. I understand reasoning but in that scenario, when already need to dish out for a surgery and implants, refund the customer . A cavity is covered.

I have been a patient of Dr Vella's for a very long time. 5 years ago we discussed replacing a bridge with implants. I procrastinated out of fear until now. In between that time I had chronic infections that would clear up only to come back again. I had another consultation with Dr Vella and he explained that I needed to lose the teeth that kept getting infected and go with a long term solution which was a full arch. I agreed to it and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be. For the past 2 years I've been having sinus problems and congestion. I went to the Dr 3 times and all they said to do was to take sinus medication and use nose spray. Nothing worked. 2 weeks before I had my implant surgery I went back to the Dr's because I had a chronic cough, sometimes not even being able to get a sentence out without coughing. I had him check my lungs and he said they were fine and sent me on my way. Surgery day comes and I chose sedation. When I woke up I could breathe! I had no congestion and no cough. I never thought my teeth could affect my health like that and I guess neither did my Dr. Toni, Heather and Courtney will make you feel comfortable and explain everything they are doing. The doctor didn’t show up for the appointment and, after I had waited 30 minutes, told his assistant—based on a photo—that I should see a plastic surgeon. I called a different oral surgeon, who said it was an extremely routine procedure and scheduled me for an appointment in less than a week.

My experience with Dr. Attardi's examination and extraction was so effortless, I decided to schedule wisdom teeth removal as soon as possible. What a warm and welcoming experience from when I walked in the door to the ladies that checked me in. I forgot me reading glasses and one of the workers Trish offered me to use hers. Dr. Vella was great and he will definitely be one doing me surgery. Loved everyone at this office❤️

I had a Sinus Augmentation, that’s a bone graft to my upper jaw and the implantation of titanium attachment post for an implant tooth. No problems no trouble. Every one was wonderful and made me comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr Vella.

My 89 year old father of a friend needed to have some teeth out with a few roots as well with IV sedation. It was his first experience with oral surgery and with Dr. Vella. He had a partial made instead of implants due to his age.
Later that night he had two cans of soup, two bowls of homemade mac & cheese, a muffin, and could not believe that he was almost completely pain-free. Even with the partial in his mouth, he was speaking fine and eating well. He slept through the night and the following morning, had eggs and toast….,no swelling, no bruising no nothing. He cannot believe how fantastic he feels. Courtney and Heather and Doctor Vella took amazing care of him. He is forever grateful and so am I. He was so afraid to be put under because he’s never had any work done at age 89 but this was just beyond imaginable how fantastic it ended up. Thank you, Doctor Vella, Heather and Courtney for taking such beautiful care of such a sweet man. ❤️❤️❤️
He had to go back in today to have the partial removed, cleaned, look at his sutures, and to have a little practice taking his prosthesis in and out so that he would be confident at home. Natalia, with all her knowledge, patience, and kindness, took the time to make sure that he was secure with how to take care of this at home. Forever grateful. He is in AWE.

Dr Vella was great! He called that evening after the procedure to check how I was doing. His staff was really excellent. Friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable and welcome, and I’m an “uncomfortable “ dental patient.

This office uses hi-tech skills and equipment. I had a pretty traumatic (for me) dental injury and subsequent procedures done by Dr Vella and Dr Attardi. Both were fantastic, it hurt almost less than getting my teeth cleaned, and I was in and out and chewing food in a couple hours. They gave me a temporary crown that looked and felt like a normal tooth. The last temporary crown I got from a dentist was basically an aluminum bottle cap that cut into my gums for a week. And it was only a couple years ago!
In addition to being good dentists they're also members of the community. I live right around the corner and they host frequent social events. My dentist really is local, not a Syracuse PLLC DBA.
My insurance doesn't work here but I pay them cash for important stuff because it's worth it. Anyone can give a free toothbrush and tell me to floss more.

I had the best experience at Dr.Vellas office getting my 4 wisdom teeth pulled! I had been avoiding them being pulled since I was a teenager so when they started hurting in my late 30’s - I was so scared as recovery is usually worse. I literally went in thinking this is it, I’m going to die, something is going to go wrong… BUT I had ZERO swelling, ZERO bruising and ZERO pain!!! I couldn’t even believe that I got them pulled ! I still can’t get over it . I couldn’t believe I even went through with the procedure but the doctors and office staff and everyone I interacted with made me feel reassured! I am so happy this is in the past and regret not finding the office sooner! If your worried - rest assure because this is the best place to be!

I recently had an extraction and dental implant procedure, and was extremely pleased with the professionalism of Dr. Vella and his staff. I was understandably nervous, but the team was wonderful in allaying my fears and explaining everything. The team of Heather, Courtney, Toni, and of course Dr. Vella did a great job.

Where can I even start with this office??? From the Office itself to the staff from the second you walk in until you leave people are just simply nice and welcoming. Something I’ve truly never experienced at a Dentists office which is part of the reason I neglected my teeth for so long and I also have Dental Anxiety from past offices that have ruined my experience. I started out with Jamie cleaning my teeth and let me tell you she welcomed me with open arms, got to know me and my fears and made me feel like my concerns were valid. She was extremely gentle and explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it to comfort me….and she’s just fun to be around. 10/10 experience with her….I’ve had 4-5 cleanings now and haven’t had a single issue yet. Just yesterday I started my road to implants (needing 4) I had all 4 molars removed and let me tell you this, I went with the sedation and I remember laughing in the surgery room beforehand and then I remember the staff walking me to the car….once the anesthesia wore off completely I was very surprised to find I was in ZERO discomfort. Sticking with the instructions that Trish (can’t speak highly enough of her as well, if you get the chance to meet her you will know why) she answered any and every question I had and didn’t act put off once! (I had a lot of paranoid questions too!) But again I’m day 2 post extractions and literally have no discomfort. Other than feeling the stitches I honestly do not feel as though I even had teeth removed. Dr. Vella from the second he enters the room makes you feel good. He didn’t make me feel bad for letting my teeth get to the point I did with them, but instead he acted like he wanted to help me and created an Oral Care plan to help me succeed. He’s soft spoken and amazing at what he does. I feel as though through the process he is extremely gentle in surgery and truly knows what he’s doing ( the continuing education that he receives yearly is also very impressive so he’s up to date on his profession and it shows tenfold). I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and remember being in pain/discomfort for days after years ago. I cannot thank the staff and Dr. Vella enough for helping me through this fear and working with me. I look forward to continuing my Dental upkeep at this office and fear for the day he retires! Once you’ve had someone like him work with you, you’ll never go anywhere else. Also the ladies at the front desk are amazing as well! It’s like everyone remembers your name at every visit and welcomes you in and everyone has a smile every visit….(that doesn’t happen anywhere now a days) It’s the little things…. and this office goes above and beyond for it’s patients. Again I cannot thank each and everyone of you enough. Book the appointment you will be very glad you did!

I was the responsible adult who drove my niece to and from her dental surgery at Vincent Vella Family Dentist. The office staff are super nice. After they took my niece back for her surgery, someone came and took us downstairs to a more comfortable waiting room with a table and chairs, a comfortable stuffed chair, a television, blankets, and a coffee bar with snacks. Best waiting room ever!
After her surgery, Natalia, the dental assistant gave me thorough post-op instructions and answered all of my questions. She gave me a bag with a cold pack and oral sponges for my niece. Then, Dr. Vella came in to explain how the surgery went. He was very happy with the results and highlighted the most important instructions for the first few days. He was very personable and answered all of my questions, as well.
We did have to check in with him five days later with some concerns, which he patiently and completely put to rest. He was very encouraging to my niece, telling her the healing was coming along well and she needed to give it a few more days for the swelling to go down. Great bedside manner. After her surgery, Natalia, the dental assistant gave me thorough post-op instructions and answered all of my questions. She gave me a bag with a cold pack and oral sponges for my niece. Then, Dr. Vella came in to explain how the surgery went. He was very happy with the results and highlighted the most important instructions for the first few days. He was very personable and answered all of my questions, as well.
We did have to check in with him five days later with some concerns, which he patiently and completely put to rest. He was very encouraging to my niece, telling her the healing was coming along well and she needed to give it a few more days for the swelling to go down. Great bedside manner. I was the responsible adult who drove my niece to and from her dental surgery at Vincent Vella Family Dentist. The office staff are super nice. After they took my niece back for her surgery, someone came and took us downstairs to a more comfortable waiting room with a table and chairs, a comfortable stuffed chair, a television, blankets, and a coffee bar with snacks. Best waiting room ever!

I have a bad tooth, haven’t seen a dentist in a while and I unfortunately deal with anxiety lately but the staff handled it amazingly and I just cant say enough great things about them and the Drs. there. They made me feel like i was their only patient. In fact they made me feel like i was a a member of their own family!!! Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart!!! I will recommend them to every single person I know.

He is a very kind man and the practice is beautiful. He made a traumatic thing as pleasant as it could be. I highly recommend this practice 😊

I have never ever experienced the greatest Dental office with Vincent Vella and all of his staff. After all these years, I finally found the #1 Dentist!!! This is the first time I felt comfortable and not scared, afraid or anxieties. Thank you for making me feel like family.

I was seen by the hygienist, Kendall on Thursday. She was so empathetic to my horrible wisdom tooth pain. Heather was able to get me in on Monday after reviewing my X-rays. Planned a dental operation for one half of my mouth and while I was under anesthesia the dentists decided without my consent to complete surgery on both sides of my mouth. I feel violated by the lack of active consent in my operation and am struggling immensely in my recovery.

Let’s talk about how incredible Dr. Vella and his team are. I’m someone with major dental anxiety. I needed some pretty serious dental work done, and struggled to even get myself into the office. Knowing I had wisdom teeth to remove and bad experiences in the past I waited 5 years to have work done. Dr. Vella and his entire staff went way out of their way to make sure that I felt comfortable. I even got a call the night of my surgery from Dr. Vella checking in on me. I’m 3 days post extraction with nearly no pain. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the professionalism, the bedside manner and kindness of everyone as I was a complete baby. I had a dental issue and called Dr Vella’s office immediately. The receptionist was able to get me in quickly. Dr Vella’s dental assistant Nataliya greeted me like an old friend and quickly identified the issue and took care of me along with Dr Vella. I was beyond scared of having all my lower teeth pulled! Trish went beyond expectations to help me feel comfortable, so did Dr Vella! I would highly recommend this practice, everyone is professional and compassionate. Dr Vellas office is *CLEAN* and beautiful!! The staff is caring and kind. I had an emergency extraction and Dr Attardi was hands down the best dentist! He said he cares for patients as if they were family and he really did! He used so much novacaine that I was beyoooond numb. Didn’t feel a thing, And it was a rough extraction. Dental assistant Lana was sweet and chatted with me to calm my nerves. She did a great job!! I recommend this office 10/10 and 5 HUGE stars. I have anxiety with the dentist and they all made me feel so calm. Plus they have the squishiest comfy seats ever. Pictures of the nice clean sink and all the tools he ended up using, plus I got to listen to music on Alexa the entire time that I picked out!!

I had my one wisdom tooth extracted yesterday. Dr. Vella did an exceptional job. I was extremely nervous about this procedure as my tooth was partially impacted. From the initial consultation, Trish and Dr. Vella took time to answer all of my questions. Toni, Heather and Courtney were in the room with me yesterday and made me feel very comfortable. I was impressed at how smooth the procedure went and I left without any bleeding or gauze in my mouth. I did not opt for sedation, and must say aside from some pressure and drilling noise, it wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated. Dr. Vella kept me posted along the way. Today, I woke up with very mild swelling, not much pain, and absolutely no bleeding or bruising. I also would like to thank Dr. Vella for calling with his personal number last evening to make sure I was doing okay. Please go see Dr. Vella and you won’t regret it. He also offers innovative procedures which will aid with the overall healing process. The front-end staff are always courteous in helping coordinate all of my appointments. This office only gets better and better! Just now Rachael sent me a link straight to my iPhone to pay my balance. It was the easiest payment I have ever made. Just clicks the link, pick Apple Pay then one more click and done! Seriously took less than 30 seconds to do. This office only gets better and better! Just now Rachael sent me a link straight to my iPhone to pay my balance. It was the easiest payment I have ever made. Just clicks the link, pick Apple Pay then one more click and done! Seriously took less than 30 seconds to do. I had high anxiety about getting my tooth pulled but Dr. Attardi eased my anxiety. He listened to my worries about receiving novacaine. He administered novacaine in a way that was gentle and slowly. I would not want to go to any other dentist. He also prescribed an anti anxiety pill for me to take before my procedure and it worked great.

Jamie always listens and does her best with my teeth and it shows! After a cleaning, my teeth look significantly whiter and brighter and I’ve never experienced that with a cleaning before seeing her. Love coming here!

I am so happy that my dentist recommended Dr. Vella to do the surgery on two back molars that had to come out. I was not looking forward to this but Dr. Vella is so professional, so gentle, so kind and personable that the hour it took to grab these bad boys out was not nearly as I had imagined the drudgery might be. Dr. Vella and his staff made this as comfortable an hour as could possibly be. I thank him for being able to get me in and out so quickly with such care. Since I also received a bone graph, I was amazed at Dr. Vella's professional skills and his ability to explain the process to me as he went along. It has been a week and I am in great shape.

They took my as a walk in emergency without any issues. The front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. The Dental Assistant (Tony) was very kind , gentle and patient. I would rate the experience a 20 out of 5, both Dr Vella and his staff were compassionate, patient and extremely professional. His office is on the cutting edge of technology and they also had a very comfortable area for me to wait during the procedure. But after asking around and having initial visits at other places, it was clear that Dr. Vella and his staff are THE BEST! Every single member of his team are kind, real, honest, and make you feel valued and welcome. The dental care I received was phenomenal and I’m so glad I made the decision to come here. And as far as the billing, his front desk staff is on the ball. They submitted everything to my insurance for me, and they did it quickly! I didn’t pay a penny more than my initial quote and I got a large portion of that back from my insurance. Well done, Rachel, Katie, and Kariann. Trish did an excellent job making me comfortable and gathering all the details regarding my visit prior to seeing doctor. She offered to do a 3D x-ray on the spot, which only took a few minutes, in order for Dr.Vella to review results right away to determine the best course of action. Dr.Vella having this technology in his office was a godsend and saved me from having to go to an x-ray site to then wait 2 weeks for images. Dr.Vella’s passion and commitment to accurately diagnosing the root cause of pain is impressive. He offered to review x-rays further using other technology and advised he would be having a discussion with my primary care dentist. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate Dr. Vella’s knowledge, expertise and approach to situation. He is dedicated and my experience was amazing!

All the members of his staff are friendly, caring, and truly interested in your comfort and well being. I have never felt this way in any other dental practice. Dr. Vella is the best provider I have ever worked with. He truly cared for me and my situation in a way like no other medical professional has. After my oral surgery he was always available for calls throughout my entire healing process if I had any questions or concerns. He is awesome and I highly recommend him.
